We took the Cyber-Knights back to St. Ignus and tried to turn in the Dragon quest. They demanded proof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we packed up and went back to the island, being evening we decided to camp on the beach. We woke up in the morning to a dense fog, and Ironhound was missing with no tracks showing that he was ever there.  Tim noticed leylines intersecting, that he had not noticed before. Tim decided to check out the intersection as we figured it was possible we shifted realities in the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we walked to  the Intersection of leylines, we came on 20\u2019x20\u2019 old shack on a hill along the way, as we got near we could hear noise from inside(sounds of many people having different conversations) that made it sound like it was an Inn or bar. Opening the door we saw a much larger than the outside Fantasy set tavern, full of humans, Elves, dwarves, and other fantasy races. We went in, and out to make sure we were not leaving the dimensional space we entered from. Before entering further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A man wearing rags burst from a door to the cellar, raving about not knowing who he was or where he was, and there was an exit in the basement, he had been lured down there by someone that had told him such and tried to kill him. Ragged Andy said he managed to kill the one that lured him first. After we checked the door back out of the tavern and it would not open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We talked to the bar keep, who with a wave of his hand, could communicate with us, introduced himself as Bob, and over time, how long he wasn\u2019t sure more and more strange people started coming in, he was Originally from 618 AD somewhere in the Americas. We decided to order some food and drink while we tried to figure out what was happening. Bob would take all currencies, from rupees, to copper coins to credits from Rifts earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While we were discussing, our predicament, Tim felt a Thump, that seemed to come from the basement and gave him a migraine. We decided to check it out, so we grabbed Raggedy Andy, and after a short conversation with Bob about us not going to the basement, we emphatically said we were going, took Raggedy Andy, and headed for the Basement. Opening the door we found a rather long staircase leading down below, about halfway down we heard a shifting or sliding noise, looking back the door was gone and was solid brick wall.  Ted went back up and tried punching where the door was and did nothing but make his hand ache.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the bottom of the stairs we found that the tunnel went down and had a cross tunnel, Tim went down and peeked around the corner and found a Skeleton, with a ball of flame in its chest, was down each of the side tunnels.  Tim and I took the one to the left Teddy to the Right, with a bit of effort the Skeletons were no more.   We all felt we were being drained, Tim wasn\u2019t as speedy, and we all were a bit slower and attacks were more difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a little conversation about how we felt drained, and the possibility that we found ourselves in RAVENLOFT (DUN DUN duun). Tim felt something trying to connect with him mentally. Tim tried to reach out and have a \u201cchat\u201d with \u201cGrand(all)father\u201d, While Tim was chant dancing near the stairs. An Ukt Water Serpent,Came down the hall, calling us bastards, turned out it had a reason to be pissed as it was the Ukt we cut it\u2019s tail off, regenerated now.  Me going all stabby and Teddy going punchy, it died rather quickly despite us being slowed and drained.  While we fought Tim, managed to have a quick, ET phone home, with Granpa, discovering that we were in a mass delusion forced on us by a psychic vampire.  With Tim telling us that, I quickly \u201cdisbelieved\u201d the \u201cIllusion\u201d and it took Teddy a little convincing, but we found ourselves in just a straight brick tunnel, that lead to the Vampire, that we had to defeat in order to actually get out of the \u201cdungeon\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We walked down the long hall dragging a near catatonic Raggedy Andy, at the end we found sitting behind a desk a Victorian Nosferatu, whom claimed to be disappointed we managed to skipped the whole dungeon experience he worked so hard on preparing for us, and how he thought we would be an excellent meal since we were powerful enough to kill a dragon, We told him \u201cwe weren\u2019t that actually a good meal or interested in chatting, we just wanted out\u201d.  He then transformed into a Mind Flayer (Illithid), and introduced himself as \u201cARCHIE\u201d, we didn\u2019t believe he was \u201cA.R.C.H.I.E. III\u201d and basically told him we were just going to kick his ass.  Squid-Face then whined about how rude we were for not letting him monologue, as it made his eating us just soooooo much better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stood up and the desk disappeared, as Teddy charged him managing to slam Squid-Face into the wall behind him.  Squid-Face as the source of our limited states proved to be difficult to hit, Tim missed his shots and I had a real hard time stabbing him.  Squid-Face turned to mist to get out of Teddy\u2019s pin, moving into the room.  I brought up my electric field to try and do any sort of damage, and it seemed to work a little.  Teddy tried a Hulk clap, it did nothing, Squid-Face moved to Tim, reformed and tried to stab him with a rapier, unfortunately for Squid-Face he managed to trip himself up on the brick floor, and stumbled into the hall we came from.  I followed and managed to stabby stabby Squid-Face. Teddy tried to drop kick him, while Teddy connected and didn\u2019t fall on his ass, Squid-Face was unmoved, or impressed.  Squid-Face scratched Tim\u2019s armor with his rapier. After Teddy managed to punch and grapple Squid-Face, Tim and I we finally able to actually land some hits on Squiddy, enough that he angrily declared \u201cENOUGH YOU ARE NOT WORTH THIS!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We then woke up in beds in an INN in St Ignus, that we didn\u2019t remember renting, \u00af\\_(\u30c4)_\/\u00af As we left the Inn Tim noticed a dodgy hooded figure notice us and quickly turn a corner and disappear down an alley beside the INN, Tim found himself not fast enough to actually catch or see where the figure went.  We then went back to Mackinaw Island, and dug around until we found a part of a large irradiated bone, and a scale that was fused in some pyroclastic rock, That we brought back to the Jobs office and got our reward of 10,000 credits.  We also notified the authorities that they had a psychic vampire to deal with.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n

We decided to head to Ishpeming to see the Robo-Dome, still feeling drained, we detoured north to check out what used to be an Airforce base near what was Grand Marais, it turned out to be nothing left but a derelict remains of broken runways, and some vestiges of ruined buildings,  We wound up going fishing at the shore where Grand Marais used to be, most of what ruins still existed were under water and that was some sediment filled depressions in remains of building foundations. We stayed for a couple of days fishing and recouping what Squid-Face managed to eat of us, after we headed to Manistique.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n
