Game Session 12

Housekeeping – For excellence is service, each of received 2 minor fetishes from tribal elders,  PG85  Spirit West

We started out still at the Cybertron Space Bridge/gateway ring.  Ted Finally woke up from his extended nap or short coma from being rewritten. He saw us standing over the trench for the control ring of the Space bridge.  Ted transformed into an ELk charged into the trench attempting to further rip open the outershell of the space bridge. As Ted went full Rut on the space bridge, the rest of us gave a surprised unanimous “That’s New.” Having little effect on the Bridge, Ted came out of the trench and reverted back to his human form.  After a brief conversation, we broke out the Plasma cannon and set it up on a tripod.  Ted then blew a decent sized hole in the out shell of the Bridge, shutting it down.  I climbed into the trench and fully disabled the space bridge.

Ted-Elk

We contacted NG security, and they sent out a giant robot that turned the ring and area into a bowl of obsidian glass.  After being thanked by the NG security forces for shutting down the space bridge, we headed north to Ishpemig.  At a check point along the road,  after checking our IDs the Check point security put a “Park Pass” sticker on both Ironhound and Bulkhead giving us “Upgraded” status to clear the various security points within NG territory much quicker, for our service.  We found a place to park for the night, after an uneventful night we got food in the morning, then proceeded to the shopping district.

Bad Boy

On our way, we heard a commotion, a couple of blocks away.  “Theif, Get back here” drifted with the noise of the commotion.  We moved towards the noise, after a couple moments, the commotion died down and we found a couple of the police arm of the Security, restraining a kid in a man catcher.  After asking a couple people what happened we discovered the kid was a petty thief, and did a grab and dash on a couple of the local shops.  We found ourselves in the magical oriented area of the shopping district. After talking to the owner of “The Graceful Hazelnut” we found that the various shops had retrieved their stolen items.  With some conversation, over various magical items that seemed to be straight out of   D&D  I bought a bag of random gems, 1000  creds worth.

We moved down the block, to another shop finding nothing, but did find some more Items from D&D realm, but nothing of real interest.  After moving on to yet another shop, the owner had more  TW style items, however me and Ted, both noticed a  peculiar revolver, with names scribed into the cylinder, pretty much straight up a version of Percy De Rolo’s “the List” pistol from Critical role.  We explained how bad of an artifact it was. The shopkeep was shocked, dismayed, and alarmed over the hidden nature of the weapon.  The shopkeep called Magical Security, a couple of classical looking wizards showed up, collecting the pistol in a warded box.  They thanked us and informed us they were going to destroy the weapon.  After being warned of the pistols potential for “demonic potential”  we were assured they would take extra precautions.  The Shop owner was appreciative enough that even though he was dismayed at the loss of a potential artifact, he recognized that the possible harm from it was far greater.  He traded a TW flame rifle to Ted for the information on the offending pistol.

The List

We moved from the magic shops to a NG vendor to purchase MDC Plastique, we purchased 1.5 lbs of NG6 MD plastic explosive (GM #159).  I asked if the vendor happened to know of any locations of  Mega Spiders, they did not know of any.  We decided to head back to the tribe to later potentially head to New Lazlo.  A bit past the Bridge, Ted had a little epiphany of the various vendors said that the various D&D items were just found by various people.  Leading us to stop, and discuss the possibility of an unknown rift that leads to a D&D realm.   During this discussion Tim remembered that he had a “Detect Object” spell that he cast to search for “D&D Monster Spiders.”  He got a sense that there was something that met the criteria, in the area of what was once De Tour village in the UP.  Tim also got the impression that the “Spiders” were in tunnels deep in the ground.

Primitive vilage
Spider

So we turned back, recrossed the bridge then headed east.  We stopped in the area that would have held the washed away ruins of Port Dolomie Limestone quarry about 12 miles from De Tour village.  As we were discussing our various options for how to approach the Spider tunnels we noticed that there was the remains of what would have been a primitive tribal village.  We found no bodies what was left was less than a year old since the village was destroyed.  We did find lots of tracks, and intuited they were “Spider” tracks that were of a very large size.  Ted transformed into an Elk and called out when we noticed that the animal population was less than normal, from the distance Ted received a call back, Ted played a quick game of ELK yell across the forest, and discovered that the scary creatures were black. We also determined that some tunnels broke surface between 3 to 5 miles from De Tour village peninsula.

We ended the Game there.  Next game April 12.
