Bio-crete
This substance is made by a slurry of finely ground organic solids and liquids that is fermented with specific bacterias. The resulting fermented mixture is then processed with specific Mycillia spores. The resulting fungal mass is often grown into usable block shapes that are incredibly strong for and light for its volume. Nine cubic meters has a mass of only 40Kg. This material is thermally stable and a high SDC insulating material.
The material can be compressed into MDC, material With a strength of 100MDC/ Cubic meter, This material retains some of its granularity in this stage, which allows for shaping and processing for construction uses. It is usable in this state for various construction purposes. The blocks in this state can be repaired and or glued together by a fine mist of the original Mycilial liquid allowing the blocks to “grow” together forming a near unbreakable bond between the blocks.
The material can be future compressed to a super impervious material construction material that needs to be joined with separate special MDC adhesives. This retains the properties of the larger blocks of 100MDC/ cubic foot with a mass of 40Kg
Bio-crete can be further modified with coating of nano-particles. This coating does nothing for structural strength or functionality. But actually allows the material to slowly break down Molecular bonds. This allows the structures to be self cleaning, it has the side effect of causing Ice to breakdown, or melt regardless of corresponding temperature. Puddles on flat surfaces would evaporate at an accelerated rate.
Notes: the fermentation process of the bio-mass is stinky, like any fermentation, The post raw product has a mild funky odor that decreases with time. The final products have no real odor, some with a real sensitive sense of smell, might describe a very faint woodsy or mushroomy smell.
Earth-crete
A low MDC construction material. This is made similar to standard concrete, with some minor exceptions, for aggregate any clean earth is used, Mixed with Lime, and A biological slurry that is similar to the one developed for Bio-crete. This slurry when all the ingredients are mixed together, instead of a straight chemical reaction, binding the aggregate, the Bacterium actually digests the lime, forming the binding agents, of organic polymers and calcium carbonate. Which provides a stronger bond than was formed with traditional portland cement. The High Lime content means the concrete is somewhat self repairing, as small cracks allow moisture in, which reacts with the lime, the resulting compound will bind and reseal cracks. The organic polymers break down after about 20 years of natural exposure. Resulting in a Medium life recyclable and degradable building material. Which can be used as base for repairing Earth-crete.
Due to its medium life span it is Ideally used in temporary structures, and road ways.
Earth-crete has a relatively low MDC value of 10MDC/cubic foot.
M-Wood
Wood, the long used building material, has many uses, from traditional, to more advanced.
Wood has long been known to have greater strength than steel per mass, however traditionally this strength does not relay to volume, until we add technological processes.
Through a process of densification, the cellular structure of the wood is altered to change it where wood is stronger than steel per volume. This process is 12x the tensile and flexible strength of steel. Overall strength depends on the type of wood, soft woods such as poplar is 5x stronger, dense hard wood such as oak is 12x stronger. While being a minimum of 5x lighter.
Through more advanced treatment the cellular structures can be further altered, through Abalation, or the “Luke Cage” process, which alters the cells so they become similar in structure to the Shells of Abaloney, which is one of the strongest bio-structures in the natural world. This process turns wood into MDC material. This material does not interfere with magic when used in armor, as does standard technology based MDC materials.
M-Wood that is harvested from a high magic environment such as a ley line, or near a nexus point/rift. Have the same physical properties, however is primed for enchantments.
When used as a structural building material, boards 1 1/2 inch thick would have 100 MDC/sq foot and weighs about 22lbs/ sqft.
Used in armor alternating the grain of thin sheets, similar to strengthening cardboard will increase the overall strength of the laminate structure.

Scraile
Scraile is a series of bio-engineered products that can be made in small scales, to large formed sheets. This MDC material mimics is formed in processes that are similar to the production of shells and carapaces of various insects and mollusks.
